“Students Encountering Science” is a traditional students’ scientific conference organized by the Students’ Parliament of the University of Banja Luka. StES’s patrons are the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska. This conference is a wonderful opportunity for young scientists and researchers to present their achievements in an international environment and to expand their knowledge within the scientific field they are studying.
The first StES took place in 2008 with the aim of giving students new opportunities in the field of science, research and new technologies.
We invite undergraduate, master, and doctoral students, as well as young researchers under 30 to participate in the conference. In the past 15 years, we hosted students from around the world – the United States of America, Great Britain, Russia, Germany, China, Turkey, India, Spain, Slovenia, France, Croatia, Serbia, and other countries.
StES will take place at the University of Banja Luka (the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina) from 23 to 25 November 2023. The conference’s interdisciplinarity offers students a chance to present their own scientific achievements, meet students from other universities and learn about their work.
Abstracts and papers will be categorized in six different fields:

Humanities
StES is organized in order to encourage young people to conduct research, promote healthy academic spirit and spend quality time at the University of Banja Luka.
